Vodafone Innovus actively participates in various interdisciplinary EU Horizon projects over the last six years. Having a strong commitment in innovation and early adoption of technologies Vodafone Innovus got involved in the projects like Track N Know, Trustonomy, Valuecare , Perocube and 5G Loginnov. Within these project the team manages to enhance its products with new technologies, include latest innovations and collaborate with leading industry and research partners throughout Europe.
Track & Know researched, developed a new software framework that aimed at increasing the efficiency of Big Data applications in the transport, mobility, motor insurance and health sectors. Vodafone Innovus had a strong participation in the project as pilot suggesting use case scenarios, providing anonymized location data and supporting technical and research partners in the development and execution projects.
Automated driving raises several challenges, from evaluating the driver’s ability to intervene in a driver-vehicle interaction and adequate driving training to ethical and legal perspectives and properly designed human-machine interfaces. Vodafone Innovus participated in the project supporting test trials via the IoT Fleet Platform.
The increasingly ageing population in Europe are highlighting challenges related to ensuring healthy ageing and independent living. The elderly need to be able to participate in their care and maintain their autonomy. The EU-funded VALUECARE project intends to deliver efficient outcome-based integrated care to the elderly who are suffering from cognitive impairment, frailty and multiple chronic health conditions. Vodafone Innovus led the technical development of the digital solution, provided support to technical and medical partners, provided backend service’s infrastructure and developed mobile application (Android, iOS) for patients.
Perovskite technology is rapidly advancing, providing lighting manufacture, the renewable energy industry and the communications sector with low-cost and high-quality materials indispensable for the production of competitive devices in the frame of the organic and large-area electronics (OLAE) market. Vodafone Innovus participates with use cases that involve the IoT solution of internal tracking via light signals and crate identification via coded light pulses.
5G-LOGINNOV’s vision is to optimise freight and traffic operations at ports and logistics hubs by using new innovative concepts, applications and devices supported by 5G technologies, Internet of Things (IoT), data analytics, next generation traffic management, Cooperative, Connected and Automated Mobility (CCAM) and the 5G logistics corridor. Vodafone Innovus participates in the Athens Living Lab as fleet operator and logistics use case; developed novel mobile application for easy track parking – over 5G networks.
